Our Dance Styles

Ballet is a brilliant introduction to dance and will teach children everything from body anatomy to the full ballet vocabulary. As the foundation of all dance forms the classical dance will cover grace, precision and technique.

The fast pace and high energy of Tap is a great introduction to dance. The music and sound of the tap steps will teach a great sense of rhythm and high level of musical awareness, while the physical movements build strength and increase flexibility.

Modern dance offers children the freedom to personally express their own style, by exploring non-traditional styles of dance. The class focuses on the freedom of movement and uses the natural energy of the young children to explore a variety of expressive dance techniques.

Body Conditioning

This class focuses on learning how to stretch and strengthen the body, by focusing on techniques which develop, build and lengthen the forgotten areas.

Our Pointe classes are aimed at students with extensive Ballet training, as the class requires strength, technique and placement. The class builds on dancers existing Ballet experience to teach areas such as musicality, mime, character and the history of Ballet.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can we start?

As long as we have some basic details from you, you’re good to go! This can be as soon as moments before your free trial class, just contact us beforehand.

What class is right for me/my child?

Just try them all out!

Have a look at our class offering further up the site to see what we offer for the required age group, and feel free to try each one out to help decide.

Do you offer exams?

We do! We’re qualified to enter students into exams with the I.S.T.D. We coach each student carefully to make sure they achieve the best they can while also keeping our teaching engaging. Most students wishing to enter for exams attend extra classes to perfect their movements.

Our students have achieved fantastic results over the years using this method.

How do I pay?

Payment is made by Direct Debit only – when you fully register with us you will be sent an invitation to set this up online. Payments will be taken automatically 14 days after receiving your invoice.

You’ll receive an invoice just before the start of each half-term.

Are exams mandatory?

No. While we teach the I.S.T.D. syllabus in our regular classes this is mainly to create a solid structure and is mixed with non-syllabus free-work to encourage creativity.

Most students wishing to enter for exams attend extra classes to perfect their movements.

How much do classes cost?

We try and simplify pricing where possible, but this can vary slightly – we may need to take age groups, class time, skill level and other factors into consideration.

For public classes a rough guide is £8 per hour; a 30 minutes class at £4.00, a 45 minutes class at £6.00 and a one hour class at £8.00.

Private classes are individually quoted based on requirements.
